I have 4 to choose from, and I can't make up my mind. Ivory, black, tortoise, and walnut that I made myself. My mind keeps going to the ones SM sells that have the bwb at the bottom. Im stuck. Sent from my SM-A546V using Tapatalk |

I decided to make my own similar to SM using walnut, pine, and black veneer. Sent from my SM-A546V using Tapatalk |

Well, I finished making them, and I'm still not impressed. I have lots of beautiful wood, but all too short. Sent from my SM-A546V using Tapatalk |

Kinda hard to tell what it will look like rough cut and unfinished. Why don't you sand the edge of your binding sandwich and give it a couple swipes of shellac, do the same to a cutoff of side wood and have a look for a little better eval? You might like it or not but you will have a better idea of final appearance. |

I've just made my own binding using quilted sapele I have left from the sides of a previous build. I just glued some thin BWB purfling to the bottom edge using TB3, to help prevent delamination during bending. Came out very well, I'm relieved to say. |
